Just finished replacing the cpu fan/heatsink assembly in my tablet pc after 2 1/2 hours of head scratching.  It was clear from the buzz and whine of a burned up fan bearing that it was getting into the terminal stages of operation.  Time to get Photoshop back up and blazing!

I was not planning on renewing my Deviant Art membership any time soon.  Until they launched the BOGO sale.  Now I'm roped back in for another two years. Well played, DA.  Well played indeed.

It's been a busy couple of months since I last posted.  I was fired from my job of four years at the hospital back in June and sat unemployed for almost 3 months.  Still don't regret telling that supervisor where to shove it, though. About 6 weeks ago I finally landed a job as a photographer's assistant and retoucher in a small studio less than 10 miles from home.  And I've loved every day of it.  I couldn't have asked for much more in a job.  The pay is almost on par with my previous job's (and soon to increase) with none of the bullshit that comes prepackaged with a big corporation.  My boss is awesome, I love my coworkers, and the dress c
